The BPR40d is the digital counterpart of Motorola’s Mag One Series of radios. Motorola has kept the form factor of the well-loved previous BPR40 version while overhauling the internal components to give it modern digital capabilities.
The advantages of digital are worth the difference in price from the standard model, and Motorola has made it easy to migrate if you already have a fleet. The BPR40d uses the same audio, battery, and charging components many existing Mag One radio fleets have in operation today. Renewing an older Mag One unit is an easy adjustment to digital operation as all the existing accessories will continue to work, and user training is just as easy.
