Description

The Motorola DP1400 is an excellent two-way radio all-rounder. Easy to use and highly portable, this rugged handset perfectly suits the needs of a broad range of businesses looking for a straightforward and cost-effective communications solution, from small and medium-sized warehouses to agricultural operations, security to light industrial use.

Motorola DP1400 Digital Two-Way Radio

Available in both digital and analogue versions, the digital handset benefits from Motorola Radio’s pioneering expertise at the cutting edge of two-way radio technology. For example, its noise-cancelling software filters out background noise to deliver crisp, clean audio in every environment. At the same time, automatic gain control adjusts the volume to ensure users can hear every word.

Because of the efficiency gains of digital technology, this version of the Motorola DP1400 provides up to 40% longer battery life than its analogue counterpart. It also operates with a superior network range. Using the Dual Capacity Direct Mode, you can fit twice as many calls into the same bandwidth to accommodate your growing business.

If you already run a fleet of analogue radios but are reluctant to upgrade to digital at once, the DP1400 can function in both modes, making it an ideal migration option. You can buy handsets one at a time and use them in the analogue mode to work with your legacy devices, and then, when you have a full set, switch them over to digital.

The Motorola radio DP1400 also boasts several useful call and messaging features. Traditionally, two-way radios broadcast only to the entire network simultaneously, but private calling allows users to target messages more precisely to avoid confusion. Although the Motorola DP1400 is a non-screen model, you can program in and save set text messages, which can then be sent when required at the push of a button – quicker and more convenient than making a call.

It also allows so-called ‘VOX’ voice activation, which means you can operate the handset using your voice only without pressing the push-to-talk (PTT) button – perfect when your hands are full of something.

As a two-way radio built for use in industry, the DP1400 includes essential safety features to help with HSE compliance and improve accident protocols. Emergency Calling ensures urgent messages get through when required. At the same time, Lone Worker monitoring is designed to keep tabs on colleagues operating in potentially hazardous places when no one else can be around them.
